In Summer 2025, Christine Burkette led an interactive STEM learning experience for young women during the Women in STEM & Business Summit held at Newlab in Detroit. The program brought together students to explore the intersection of science, engineering, and innovation through hands-on learning activities designed to make STEM concepts accessible and exciting, while also integrating principles of technology strategy and systems integration.
Through Michigan Youth STEM, Tech & Aeronautics (MYSTA), participants engaged in real-world experiments including building balloon-powered cars to explore force, motion, and aerodynamics. They applied the scientific formula F = MA (Force = Mass × Acceleration) and learned how engineering principles translate into modern technology and business innovation, reflecting the impact of AI consulting in shaping future developments.
The summit emphasized creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking—encouraging young women to see themselves as future engineers, innovators, and leaders in STEM industries.
Programs like this reflect Christine’s commitment to expanding STEM access and building the next generation of innovators through hands-on education and mentorship.

CareLink is a modular senior services coordination platform designed to scale across cities, counties, and states. The platform connects seniors, caregivers, and service providers into a unified system, helping eliminate information silos while generating real-time insights that allow agencies to identify service gaps, allocate resources more effectively, and improve outcomes for older adults.
The platform was first developed through a Michigan pilot and has been licensed to the Detroit Area Agency on Aging (DAAA) to support local service coordination. CareLink is designed as a scalable infrastructure that can be adapted by other communities to strengthen senior support networks.
CareLink was designed and created by Christine Burkette.
In October 2025, Christine Burkette was featured, for the 10th year as a speaker at the Women of Color STEM Conference in Baltimore, Maryland. Christine led a 40-minute session, Building Your Network in STEM: Leveraging Connections, alongside panelists Dr. Malika Grayson-Duncan and Alex Herrera of NASA. The session engaged technology companies, industry leaders, and students entering STEM fields, focusing on practical strategies for building meaningful professional networks that support career growth and long-term success. Custom STEM Curriculum in Practice
During the summer term at Wayne State University, Christine Burkette designed and delivered a custom 5-week STEM program in partnership with Curry Motor Sports. The program used hands-on experiments and real-world applications to strengthen science and mathematics foundations for students ages 7–15 who were performing multiple grade levels below expectations.
Christine developed a custom instructional manual for the program, aligning weekly activities with measurable learning objectives. The curriculum also integrated QR-enabled instructional videos, allowing students and families to reinforce lessons at home through guided step-by-step support.
This blended learning model helped close foundational learning gaps while building confidence, curiosity, and early exposure to STEM career pathways. Click picture to view workbook.
Created while serving as Director of Digital Equity & Inclusion for the City of Detroit (click picture to access). This interactive GIS platform was designed to translate complex citywide data into clear, actionable insights that are accessible to the public and decision-makers alike. Designed for Leaders, Founders, and Visionaries Who Want Their Brand to Speak Before They Do
Your brand is more than a logo or a website, it’s your reputation, your story, and the value people associate with your name or product the moment you enter the room. Through PICF, Inc., I design brand ecosystems that align leadership presence, technology, storytelling, and execution.
I’ve done this work inside global enterprises and community-driven organizations alike, helping leaders translate complex ideas into clear, compelling, and scalable brands. From my role working with executive leadership at General Motors, including moments alongside Mary Barra, to building brands for startups, nonprofits, and public-sector initiatives, the approach is the same: clarity, credibility, and consistency.
